Cara Spall is a copywriter, creative strategist and concept developer in Rotterdam. She wanted her work for agencies, corporate communication and her own projects in one place.

For her I designed the website and built it in WordPress. The portfolio comes first, with her background, education and experience behind it.

De Gulden Snede is the digital meeting place of the Quest for Wisdom Foundation. The foundation brings people together around art, education and philosophy, on themes such as the art of living and world citizenship.

The site I built in WordPress for a programme that changes with the seasons. Blogs, articles, multimedia, workshops and educational material sit together in one structure.

Coach Vooruit offers youth care to young people who have fallen between the cracks. The website is there to inform referrers and youth protection workers.

I got to build that website for them. Next to building it I worked on the photography and on the promotional video it carries.

Roadside is an old school barbershop and store in Dordrecht. At Roadside they are specialised in men’s cuts, beards and shaves.

For the barbershop I got to build a website. Customers book an appointment online there and pay for it straight away.

The Premium Argan webshop was due for a refresh and brought in too few orders. So I decided to rebuild the site from scratch.

The new site I set up around conversion, to raise the number of orders. I also added landing pages and applied a good deal of SEO work.

De Denkschool is a group of philosophers offering philosophical projects to schools and companies. For them I took the website in hand.

I gave the site a new look and feel. The existing content stayed, so the work was in the design and not in the structure.

Zorg Vooruit is a staffing agency for self-employed care workers. The agency brings care institutions and independent carers together.

The website I got to build for them in WordPress. Carers and care institutions both find what they are after there.

Denklus is a philosopher offering philosophical sessions for parents and young people. For him I made the website.

The site I built in WordPress. That lets him keep the sessions and the texts up to date himself afterwards.

My graduation project for CMD was about brand identities and how they are guarded. I carried out the research together with visual communication agency Uit de Kunst! and the Schieland en de Krimpenerwaard water authority.

In an organisation like that many people work with the same identity. With this project I completed my studies at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.

Scarabee is a jewellery shop in Vlissingen, specialised in Celtic, Gothic and Egyptian pieces. The old site was a simple HTML page the client could not update themselves.

The new site I built in WordPress. The shop now manages the store itself and customers order and pay in one go. I also added extras such as Google Analytics and SEO work.

Skateland Rotterdam is the city’s skatepark. The site ran on an old system and did not carry the identity of the organisation. I was asked to design and build a new one.

The design I made in Sketch and then developed in WordPress. Later I was asked to set up the e-commerce side in WooCommerce. Of the sites I built entirely myself this is one of the largest.
