Brakka combines creativity and craft to make unique garments. In Rotterdam the brand opened a pop up store, with live performances and clothing for sale there.
For that opening I designed a poster and an Instagram story. The two carry the same imagery, so the announcement on the street and the one online belong together.
SB Gym was looking for a new employee for an open position behind the bar of the gym. I was asked to make a design for it.
It became a vacancy for social media. That way the vacancy comes past the people who already know the gym.
The Premium Argan website I had built was finished and ready to launch. So I was asked to design an Instagram post and a story for it.
Those two designs I made within the identity of the brand. They were shared by several influencers and the response to them was positive.
De Denkschool is a group of philosophers offering philosophical projects to schools and companies. For them I took the website in hand.
I gave the site a new look and feel. The existing content stayed, so the work was in the design and not in the structure.
To promote Scoot Week at Skateland Rotterdam I designed a series of social media posts.
The posts were shared on the Instagram account of the skatepark. I also made the designs for the Instagram Stories of the event.
Scoot Week is an event with activities for children, held at Skateland. It went well enough that more editions followed.
For those editions I got to design the flyers and the social media posts. Every edition got its own announcement that way.
MCA is the Multimodal Coordination and Advice Centre Brabant. In their annual report they publish the statistics and figures reached that year.
I got to lay out the 2019 annual report for them. Figures make up most of a report like that, so that is where the work in the layout sat.
For De Binnenvaartkrant I laid out the paper for a year and a half, edition after edition. I did that together with the editorial and the sales department.
Next to laying out the paper I was responsible for the advertisements. The other printed material of the paper I laid out as well.
My graduation project for CMD was about brand identities and how they are guarded. I carried out the research together with visual communication agency Uit de Kunst! and the Schieland en de Krimpenerwaard water authority.
In an organisation like that many people work with the same identity. With this project I completed my studies at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.
Scarabee is a jewellery shop in Vlissingen, specialised in Celtic, Gothic and Egyptian pieces. The old site was a simple HTML page the client could not update themselves.
The new site I built in WordPress. The shop now manages the store itself and customers order and pay in one go. I also added extras such as Google Analytics and SEO work.
Every year the skatepark sends out Christmas cards. The designs I matched to the house colours of Skateland.
One card shows all four sports that use the park. The other shows Doekie, the dog that always walks around there loose, drawn as if the design were knitted from wool.
For an assignment I had to redraw an existing interface and then make it work. Rebuilding something that already exists shows where someone else’s choices sit.
The ING interface I rebuilt in Sketch. With Marvel I then made it clickable, so the prototype could be walked through like an app.
For the opening of the Hefpark in Rotterdam South I designed a poster campaign. In the middle of the park are dirt jumps and pump tracks to ride and jump on a BMX.
I made several concepts and presented them to the client, then made the final changes from their feedback. The typefaces and colours match the identity of the Feijenoord Kop van Zuid district.
